If you’re new to Singapore or are planning to visit, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what to do and where to go. But with Lottery Singapore, you can find out everything you need to know about this popular form of gambling in the city-state.
The Singapore Pools lottery is the country’s only legal lottery, and is held by Singapore Pools (Private) Limited, a company owned by the Tote Board. It is the sole operator of Singapore’s three lottery games: 4-Digits, Toto and Singapore Sweep.
Prices for the Singapore Pools lottery are quite inexpensive. The lowest entry price is $1, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), for a four-digit bet. But if you want to get more benefits, such as system bets in TOTO, the prices go up quickly.
For TOTO, a six-digit bet costs $3, including GST. If you match a winning combination of five numbers, you can win a cash prize that’s up to $1 million.
The Toto lottery is the second-most popular form of gambling in Singapore, after 4-Digits. You can buy it from any of the Singapore Pools outlets across the country.
The Sweep lottery is also a popular form of gambling, and is drawn on the first Wednesday of each month. It’s cheaper than Toto and four-digit bets, and you can win up to $2.3 million if the 19 seven-digit winning numbers are matched on your ticket. In addition, you can win $6 if the final two digits of your ticket number match one of the nine winning two-digit numbers drawn.
